Bethlehem Babe Ruth is pleased to announce some exciting news for our 16U-18U teams. These changes will also impact the 15u travel program.  In an effort to  closely mirror the schools JV and Varsity teams we will no longer be holding tryouts in the fall for the 15u travel, Mickey Mantle or Connie Mack teams.

The following Criteria will be used to form these teams:

1- Any players that makes the Bethlehem varsity team in the spring will be invited to play on the18U team.

2-Players that played  Bethlehem varsity as a junior (in the previous season) will automatically be invited to play on the team.

3- An open tryout will be held in the spring to fill remaining positions if needed. Any player that does not meet the criteria for 1 or 2 may participate in the tryout.

1- Any player that makes the JV team in the spring will be invited to play on the 16U team. (Must be age 16 or less)

2- An open tryout will be held in the spring to fill remaining positions if needed. Tryout will be open to any league age 15 or 16yo

As a result of these changes many league age 15’s will be playing on the 16U team. With enough available players, tryouts will be held in the spring for a 15U travel team.

Winter workouts will now be open to any league age 15-18 that would like to attend. The fee will be $75 for approximately 8 Sunday's during Jan., Feb and March. These workouts will be led by the 16u and 18u team coaches and other instructors. Exact dates, times and online registration available soon. This is a great opportunity to prepare for school tryouts.

Showcase tournaments will be available to players on both teams. More info on this will be coming soon.

Len Kies will return as 18U manager for  next season, . Len is the current athletic director for the Bethlehem School district. He is very exctied about this new direction and the opportunity to manage the 18U team again.
